# Version 1.7.3 (4 November 2025)

**🚀 What’s New in CyberRock 1.7.3**

**Stronger security with HSM**

CyberRock 1.7.3 introduces a **Hardware Security Module (HSM)** — a dedicated, highly secure enclave designed to protect sensitive data and encryption keys. You’ll benefit from:

- State-of-the-art data protection
- Stronger encryption and key management
- A major step toward **Common Criteria (CC) Certification**

**New naming convention and API**

- Unified naming convention across the CyberRock platform
- Introduction of the new **Device API** following this standard
- **IoT API** and its endpoints will be **retired on 3 February 2026**, replaced fully by the **Device API**

**Better access through the New SandGrain Portal**

SandGrain will be launching a new portal, which can be accessed via our [website](http://www.sandgrain.eu/), on November 4th, 2025 to provide centralized access to:

- Documentation and technical resources
- Release notes, API guides, user manuals, and SDK’s
- A streamlined way to raise tickets, contact support, and stay informed

**🧰 SDK release**

Alongside CyberRock 1.7.3, we’re releasing our **first SDK** to make integration even easier. The SDK supports developers with seamless integration between devices and the cloud, enabling use cases such as:

- Identification and Authentication
- Secure Firmware Download
- Secure Boot

 You can access the SDK and supporting materials from our SandGrain portal or via [GitHub](https://github.com/SandGrain-CyberRock/CyberRock-Token).
